Support that makes a difference.

Meeting you where you're at in your motherhood journey

Becoming a new mom should be such an exciting moment for you to enjoy with your new baby, but there can be many obstacles thrown at you along the way making it seem almost impossible to not feel over-whelmed and constantly stressed out.

Only you should be in charge and decide what is right for you and your growing family. I partner with birthing parents and their families to ensure their views are heard and considered.

I help mothers and their families learn about breastfeeding, childbirth, newborn care, prenatal/postpartum care, and so much more! Together we explore various options regarding the labor and birth process. Our classes cover parenting together, what to expect during labor, how to prepare during pregnancy, feeding and caring for your baby. Whether you are a teen mom, first time mom, or experienced mom my services are perfect for you and your family.

Our
Story

Get to Know Us

When I first found out that my husband and I were expecting a baby, it was such an unreal feeling. We just couldn't believe that we were going to become someone's parents. The emotions were everywhere -- from excitement, to feeling nervous, to feeling afraid. We watched tons of videos and read lots of articles about how to prepare ourselves physically and mentally for this new journey. And with that I learned that there's nothing like having hands on personalized support. There's so much information out there about childbirth and parenthood, it was hard to decide what would be the best approach for our family. It wasn't until our friends told us to look into Doulas and Midwives that we realized our situation is unique and parenting is not a one-size fits all. Eventually, we learned that we should surround ourselves with a team of professionals who are aligned with our values and are working for us rather than the hospital.

And this is one of the main reasons I became certified as a Doula, so that I can help more moms and their families receive the quality of care that they deserve.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"I am a single mother and my daughter was my first child, who was also born premature.  I can honestly say that I would have had a hard time making it through that first year without Sade’s help.  I knew little about taking care of a baby, and Sade knew it all, and knew it well.  She had an immeasurable positive impact on our lives".

What is a Doula?

A doula is a trained support person for the birthing parent who specializes in a variety of techniques to help families transition into parenthood. The doula's role is to advocate for and support the mother during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum stages. Birth doulas offer education, resources and tools so that the family can adjust and be prepared for their growing family. . Postpartum doulas offer guidance, evidence-based education, and hands-on support after birth and through the first year. The role of the doula is to support and empower the mother in the days, weeks, and months before and after childbirth. You'll feel better knowing that you'll have someone to answer all of your questions about pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.
